CODE Fairfax Street is an affordable student accommodation in Coventry. Just 150 metres from the Coventry University campus, this accommodation has luxury studio flats, around the clock staffing, all bills included and top-quality amenities.

Thanks to the bus station outside the building, our students travel to University of Warwick via a direct bus which runs every 10 minutes and only takes 17 minutes

Rooms:

There are more than 1,000 studio flats available. All are impeccably furnished, and you can choose between different sizes and pay extra to live on a higher floor. All “city view” rooms have great views out over the city and are south or south-west facing.

Each studio has its own private bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen includes a microwave, an integrated oven and hob, an extractor fan, and a large fridge, and freezer. While the bathroom has a double shower, heated towel rail, mirror, sink and toilet.

Each studio also comes with a double bed, 32” TV, study desk and chair. Deluxe Studios also include a triple wardrobe and sofa/armchair – while Standard Studios come with a double wardrobe and armchair.

There is superfast wi-fi (with no download or upload limits) included free in the price of every room.

Features:

At CODE Fairfax Street, security and comfort is the team’s number one priority. There is on-site security available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, as well as secure fob entry and CCTV throughout the site.

The office is open 6-days a week, as is the parcel service, with a responsive customer service desk for any inquiries or assistance. Friendly staff are on hand to help you with any issues, and CODE also employs native Mandarin speakers to help with communication.

CODE Fairfax Street also has its own cleaning team and maintenance team. And an extensive app-controlled laundry facility on-site.

The communal spaces have been designed to cater to diverse preferences and needs – and are so spacious they are the same size as 7.5 tennis courts!

Within the accommodation building you will find a free 100-piece equipment gym with state-of-the-art equipment, a student lounge and games area, featuring foosball, table tennis and pool tables, as well as relaxing seating and private rooms.

There are communal and private study spaces and even a cinema. Students can also hire the communal kitchen and lounge for free to host their own parties.

The south-facing terrace garden with seating is a great place to relax when the weather is good.

Location:

CODE Fairfax Street has its own Co-op grocery store, a Pizza Hut takeaway, a Greggs bakery and Starbucks coffee shop on site.

But because it is nestled in the heart of Coventry, CODE Fairfax Street residents have a wealth of amenities at their fingertips. Once 7 days have passed or you have accepted your online Tenancy Agreement, there is no further ‘cooling off period’ and your refundable holding deposit will be retained by Code Students. Your refundable holding deposit will also be retained if you have not provided the necessary correct information, which has resulted in CODE Students cancelling your booking.

A visa is part of your conditions and you would be covered under CODE's "Fresher's Promise", as long as you are starting a new course.

Your refundable holding deposit will also be retained if you have not provided the necessary correct information, which has resulted in CODE Students cancelling your booking.

If you are a 'renewal' booking (booked the same room for the next academic year) we will retain your refundable holding deposit if you choose to cancel at a later date. If the payment has not been made at the point of cancellation, the fee will need to be paid as part of our Early Termination Process.

If you have accepted your Tenancy Agreement, you have entered into a legally binding agreement and the rent payments detailed in your Tenancy Agreement will remain your legal responsibility.

Should you wish to cancel, we will look to mitigate any potential loss to you, our customer, by advertising your chosen room to other potential customers. However, until a new tenant has been found, accepted their relevant contracts, and made the required payments for their contract you will remain responsible for the rent in full, in line with your binding contract. CODE reserves the right to decide when and how to market your room.

CODE students will aim to keep you informed of any potential new tenants and inform you in writing once there is a signed contract from a new tenant, therefore releasing you from any legal responsibility to pay any outstanding monies as outlined in your signed contract. This level of communication is not guaranteed, and CODE will take no responsibility if this does not occur.

In addition, once the tenant has accepted their Tenancy Agreement, we will charge an early termination fee of:
a) one week’s rent (prior to 24 April 2023)
or
b) £400 (from 24 April 2023 onwards) if the tenant should cancel or not provide the necessary correct information needed to proceed with the booking, resulting in CODE Students cancelling the booking.

CODE Students reserves the right to retain some or all of the £400 tenancy deposit to cover cancellations charges.

Consumer’s cancellation rights

The cancellation period is limited to 7 days from the online booking on the basis that the consumer was given the required written information on or before the contract was concluded.
